*The seventh fold is a tribute to our armed forces, for it is through the armed forces that we protect our country and our flag against all enemies, whether they be found within or without the boundaries of our republic.

This is where you will stay connected with all things Folds of Honor, such as impactful partnerships, upcoming events, store promotions and most importantly, the stories of the families you stand with.
| FAMILIES OF FOLDS |
Teague is a Senior at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He will finish his degree requirements and graduate in December 2019.

His father, Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Crotty, served in the U.S. Army National Guard and was diagnosed with leukemia in 1999. After undergoing a successful bone marrow transplant, he was deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. In 2009, while serving as a Senior National Guard Advisor, he was diagnosed with leukemia again, this time losing his life in October 2010. Teague was 13 when his dad passed away, five years before he graduated from high school.

Teague shared a love of hunting and fishing with his father, but his favorite recreational activity is riding dirt bikes. Upon graduation, Teague hopes to find employment with a motorcycle or racing organization designing models that are faster, lighter, and stronger. “My father taught me a lot of life lessons before he passed; manners, respect and determination, “says Teague. This has matured me so that I may take on the challenges life has to offer.”

"Folds of Honor provided me with more than just a scholarship for college; they provided me with a family that supported me through the challenges of losing my service member. They taught me that I was not alone in this fight. Without them, I do not know if I would have been able to share my story, and my fathers' legacy. Thank you, Folds of Honor!"

Colorado Chapter

This year, the Folds of Honor Denver chapter hosted their second annual gala and golf event at Cherry Creek Country Club. The streets of the club and the 1st and 18th fairways were lined with hundreds of American Flags to create a great patriotic scene. Over 150 supporters attended the Sunday evening gala that featured scholarship recipient Rowan Patton sharing her and her family’s story and how the scholarship from Folds of Honor is helping her complete her college education.

We also had the pleasure of recognizing Jeremy King’s Gold Star family and thanking them for their sacrifices and support. Great food, silent and live auction items made the evening even more exciting and the evening closed out with a Naval Aviator Steve Monahan singing Lee Greenwood’s song “God Bless the USA”.

On Monday morning 80 competitors participated in the two-person team golf event and Long Drive Champion Josh Cassaday entertained the crowd with a trick shot demonstration and booming drives on the par 5 8th hole to raise more money for scholarships. Overall, the event raised a net $100,000 in its second year, a great tribute to the community, the Cherry Creek Country Club team and the local board members continuing to spread the Folds of Honor mission.

The third annual event will be held September 27th and 28th again at Cherry Creek Country Club. Information and registration can be found at our local website www.foldsofhonordenver.org

| POWERFUL PARTNERSHIPS |

Weatherman was conceived by nationally recognized meteorologist Rick Reichmuth. After years in the field covering severe weather events, Rick couldn’t find an umbrella that met his standards. So he decided to design it himself.

The result after years of research, sketching, testing and more testing is an umbrella that stands up to extreme weather. The materials from the hand-sewn panels to the fiberglass ribs hold off 55-mph winds. Optional Bluetooth technology will track your Weatherman so you don't lose it, and the Weatherman app makes sure you don’t leave it behind.

Weatherman's mission is to make an umbrella that lasts and becomes part of your daily routine. Weatherman has been a proud supporter of Folds of Honor for the past two years. Through the sale of their branded Folds of Honor umbrellas, they have donated $150,000 to our organization. 30 recipients we're awarded educational scholarships thanks to the support of Weatherman and all of you who have purchased the Folds of Honor Umbrella.

When you here the word Paradise it often reminds you of the great state of Hawaii. Well, paradise for Folds of Honor reminds us of Hawaii and the Princeville Makai Golf Club. With the strong commitment of PGA professional Tom Freestone, General Manager Doug Sutter and their respective staff(s) their 2019 Patriot Golf Day event was a spectacular HIT!

The Aloha spirit was alive and well throughout the community of Kaui, local businesses, and from strong outreach by the professional staff. Their first year event produced the largest one day event to date for Folds of Honor on the islands of Hawaii (15k+).

“We really felt strongly about our commitment to Folds of Honor, and look forward to moving the needle even higher in 2020”, stated General Manager Doug Sutter. “To hear the stories of sacrifice, service and commitment from those who played was emotional. We have a special bond with the military on the islands and today was an example of how everyone came together full circle for this noble mission.”

The excitement was on full display early with beautiful sky’s, Hawaiian music and more. Through the dedication of many of the islands resorts and businesses the silent and live auction events produced the right push to take the event to the next level.

Our hats go off to the Princeville Makai Golf Club, the island of Kaui, and the over 100 participants who showed just how important one community can play in the purpose for freedom, and the mission of Folds of Honor.
