| THE 7TH FOLD |
*The seventh fold is a tribute to our armed forces, for it is through the armed forces that we protect our country and our flag against all enemies, whether they be found within or without the boundaries of our republic.

This is where you will stay connected with all things Folds of Honor, such as impactful partnerships, upcoming events, store promotions and most importantly, the stories of the families you stand with.

Teague Crotty’s story is one of personal courage and triumph.

His father, Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Crotty, served in the U.S. Army National Guard and was diagnosed with leukemia in 1999. After undergoing a successful bone marrow transplant, he was deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. In 2009, while serving as a Senior National Guard Advisor, he was diagnosed with leukemia again, this time losing his life in October 2010. Teague was 13 when his dad passed away, five years before he graduated from high school.

Teague long dreamed of going to Oklahoma State University, like many generations of his family. He wanted to study mechanical engineering, inspired by lessons he learned building bikes with his dad. “We really got to grow together over bikes,” Teague said. “He even built a little shop in our house. Cycling was one thing our whole family could do together.”

Teague is a Higher Education Scholarship recipient. Currently a junior at his dream school, OSU, he is pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, following the treasured memory of his dad.

| CHAPTER HIGHLIGHT |
Minnesota Chapter

The 5th Annual Folds of Honor Minnesota Wingman Open was a huge success! The greatest patriots from the state gathered in honor of the military families Folds of Honor serves. The opening ceremony set the tone for an emotional day that included the National Anthem sung by a National Guard member, the Patriot Parachute team jumping in, a folded flag presentation, as well as a 21-ball salute ceremony. Golfers enjoyed the best fall weather Minnesota has to offer and the day ended with a gathering around the table during dinner while listening to Command Sergeant Major Jeffrey Mellinger as well as Folds of Honor speaker, Kelli Campbell.

Hosted at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska MN for the 5th year, the MN Chapter was able to increase fundraising through sponsorships, foursomes, auctions and donations for a record total of $500,000 raised!

“Every year the day of the Wingman Open is the epitome of the reason why we do what we do as the Minnesota Chapter. Year after year we are completely humbled by the money raised and the generosity of the proud patriots who attend and support Folds of Honor families just like Kelli Campbell’s.”

Cooper Standard

Folds of Honor is proud to partner with Cooper Standard

We are awarding Cooper Standard-sponsored scholarships to students attending one of 14 private four-year colleges and universities in the Michigan Colleges Alliance (MCA). Sponsored through the Cooper Standard Foundation, we are providing six education scholarships of $10,000 each to the families of fallen or disabled service members for the 2018/2019 school year.

In addition, beginning in 2019, our partnership will award two $25,000 scholarships that will be matched by MCA to provide full-ride scholarships to two deserving students.

The donation from Cooper Standard and the match from MCA colleges will give Michigan-based military families greater opportunity to attend a leading private college.

“We are pleased to expand our efforts to support military veterans by honoring the families of those who make so many sacrifices for our country. With this new partnership, we hope to make a lasting impact through education and give back to our military families who have given so much for our freedom.”

- Jeffrey Edwards
Chairman and CEO, Cooper Standard
Folds of Honor would also like to give special recognition to these partners for their support and efforts in the month of August:
