| THE 7TH FOLD |
*The seventh fold is a tribute to our armed forces, for it is through the armed forces that we protect our country and our flag against all enemies, whether they be found within or without the boundaries of our republic.

This is where you will stay connected with all things Folds of Honor, such as impactful partnerships, upcoming events, store promotions and most importantly, the stories of the families you stand with.

Right now, we face a deficit of more than 700 deserving families whom were turned away this year due to lack of funds. Help us close the gap with a gift to our end of year campaign.

| FAMILIES OF FOLDS |
With a passion to serve others and a heart to make a difference, Kasey Mielke is following in her father’s footsteps.

U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer Steven Mielke served honorably for more than 20 years. During this time, he served in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom before retiring in 2015. A two-time recipient of the Bronze Star Medal, Steven Mielke is a hero. He is also an amazing father who has passed on a legacy of service to his daughter.

Kasey is pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice, just like her father did.

“My dad is a criminal justice graduate and watching him do his job over the last 20 years has inspired me to be just like him”, Kasey says. “He is the most courageous person I know and if I am even half as courageous as he is, then I am beyond lucky.”

Kasey has a goal of obtaining her master’s degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology, so she can join the fight towards decriminalizing mental illness. She has a passion for people and wants to help, particularly Veterans with PTSD, so they can have the “life that they deserve; especially for all of the bravery and courage they’ve exhibited for me and every other American.”

Michael Haywood

Tucson Country Club has been participating in Patriot Golf Day since 2008. For Michael Haywood, working with Folds of Honor is a natural fit, and his entire club takes pride in conducting first-class events to benefit families of our nation’s heroes.

Growing up in a military family and having served in the United States Army himself, Michael understands the sacrifice our service members and their families make while serving our country.

This year, his club was able to participate in a few different ways. They hosted an annual Salute To Service event that brought together members, guests and local service members to participate in a five-player team event.

In addition, the club has a Patriot Legacy Fund that keeps their membership engaged year-round. The annual fund is supported by monthly contributions on participants’ membership bills. To date, the fund has contributed more than $100,000 to Folds of Honor.

Michael also participated in Patriot Teaching and Coaching Day, a new Folds of Honor initiative. Through his teaching academy, The Player’s Institute, he engaged the local community, military units and members for a day of complimentary instruction, special club fitting and demonstration. This event raised more than $8,600.

“Knowing our Patriot Golf Day efforts contribute to the betterment of the survivors of fallen and wounded service members brings a unique and special feeling that you can only get from contributing to a cause far bigger than yourself.”
