Founded in 2007, the Folds of Honor mission is to provide educational scholarships to the spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service members. Their motto says it best:

Honor their Sacrifice. Educate their Legacy.

Illinois is the 11th largest recipient state in the country with 135 scholarships being awarded in IL this academic year equaling over $653,000 dollars. Regretfully, 1,469 fully qualified applicants across the US went without awards due to lack of funding. There is no doubt the Folds of Honor impact hits close to home and the need remains great.

To display Hawthorn Woods Country Club’s commitment to these families who have sacrificed so much for our freedoms, we are playing a golf marathon on Thursday, September 2nd.  Head Golf Professional Greg Roberts will attempt to play 126 holes!  While Assistant Golf Professionals; Adam Guthrie, Alex Price, and Kyle Lake all play 54 holes each.

Our goal is to raise $20,000, which will change the lives of (4) local recipients. With your help, we know can meet and hopefully exceed that goal!
